This strict moderation by Cronometer means less incorrect food entries and leads to more accurate data. An 'eaten' bit would be better, but this works in place of one.

I recommend watching a few videos to get started. Cronometer is free to use when using the basic version of the app. The Help section is a good place to start as there is a Cronometer University with a comprehensive video tutorial series. The app is completely free to sign up for, and the app is also free without ads. Across the top are tabs for diary, trends, foods, settings and help. In the middle of the screen, you’ll see coloured bar charts and circle charts to show your daily calorie summary, macronutrient targets (energy, protein, net carbs, fat), nutrient intakes and targets (think iron, fibre etc). (You can even measure your mood in milligiggles). For each day you can add food, exercise, biometrics or a note. Here you can navigate through the month and see at a glance how your day is progressing.

Tap on any of these targets bar to access your Daily Report and see your complete nutrient breakdown for the day! Swipe through the top summary to see your macronutrient targets and highlighted targets. After adding foods, you'll see the target bars in your Top Summary fill up.
